THIS GENERATION NEEDS THE FATHERS.

THIS GENERATION NEEDS THE FATHERS.
October 20, 2018adminCoaching and MentorshipMotivation

“Come here my son,” my father called me in a faint voice. I hardly remember all the words he whispered in my ears, but they where words of regret. He was on his sick bed and knew he was about to leave this world yet he was not sure the kind of man I would grow to be. I hardly have any childhood memories with my father despite the fact that we lived in the same house for 12 years. He left early in the morning and returned late at night when I was fast asleep. My fondest memory is of his yellow Toyota Corolla – UVT 938, that I always waved at as he went to work in the morning for the few times I was able to catch him leave.
Oh, I also remember the day he came to my primary school to talk to the headmaster about late school fees payment. Three days later after our quick chat he passed on. During the burial I had no tears for my father that had seemed a stranger in my life. It seemed like a new page had been opened to move on.

10 years later during a church retreat at university, I heard about God the Father’s love. (1 John 3:1) “Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of GOD.”

It’s at this time that I received my inner healing for the loss of my father. As a man, I had been told men don’t cry.But during this retreat, after prayers of inner healing, I sobbed liked a little child and the pain and grief of my childhood left. What a relief!

You could have experienced a similar or worse experience. Or you could know someone going through a similar ordeal. You have been called a bastard, unwanted, mistake and have been disowned by your family or betrayed by your closest friend. These experiences have been ingrained in your sub-conscious mind and won’t leave you. The more you think about them, they continue to enslave you and hold you captive and are limiting your growth to the next level.

You can choose to embrace the healing heart of GOD the Father and precious gift of freedom that Jesus purchased for you at Calvary so that you put the past behind you and step into the glorious future that was ordained for you before your conception.(Jeremiah 1:5)”I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

Having experienced the healing touch of Jesus, I have made a deliberate decision to hug my sons daily; in the morning as they go to school and in the evening before they sleep. I tell them, “ Papa loves you, Jesus loves you.” We love you too they always respond back.

I know that this affirmation is being deposited into their sub-conscious mind, so that even when am called to glory, they will miss me and know I was a positive influence in their lives. I also know that as they grow and face life challenges, they can boldly face them with Jesus and will be able to reach their greatest potential.

For the fathers out there, be encouraged to participate in the lives of your children and don’t let this be a fatherless generation.
